In these days of unstable economic conditions and general market upheaval, Silver Wheaton — the world’s largest pure silver company has a positive story to tell. The new Annual Report we designed reflects the growth the company has attained both locally and internationally.
The AR is simply themed PURE GROWTH and highlights the company’s overall growth on five levels: Assets, Performance, Growth, Unhedged Sales and Value. We went on to illustrate each highlight with carefully constructed graphs and copy. An onsite photo shoot with corporate photographer Larry Goldstein brought added dimension and depth to the story. “Black and white photography creates a journalistic effect that adds authenticity and realism to the story,” says Kirk Robinson, Account Exec. Hemlock Printers handled the challenging print requirements and delivery logistics.

Coastlines recently created a new brand identity for an innovative real estate product capitalizing on today’s undervalued properties in Arizona. From an extensive brand discovery process we set about creating something totally new and unconstrained by traditional approaches to real estate marketing. The logo needed to be uncluttered and direct, yet friendly and approachable. The colours are reminiscent of Arizona’s warm desert landscape and the two iconic houses suggest the product offering. We applied the new logo to a stationery package, a brochure and inserts, print advertising, exhibit display and new website.

Most people take anywhere from 8,000-12,000 steps a day, often in shoes that don’t fit very well. This is why Superfeet® makes a range of insoles to fit almost everyone’s unique foot requirements. Having an in-store Demo Box that helps customers match the right sized product to their feet gives them the confidence they’ve chosen the right size and the right product. We created an all-new Demo Box that will be in stores all over North America, Europe and Japan. It features carefully hand-rendered illustrations of the foot and insole along with the Superfeet® brand colours, and was designed to be recognizable flipped over on its side or tucked under a chair. The challenging part of the production was matching the artwork to the complicated die lines — Demo Box meets origami. Demo-gami Superfeet.
REI (USA) has embraced the design and given the go-ahead to have the new Demo Box — which doubles as POS — displayed prominently in all their stores across the country.

We’ve been very busy working with Frank Communications on creating an all new brand identity for PARVIA, based out of Seattle. Parvia is an interlocking sequence of landscapes and buildings that can be arranged to your own design. With Parvia you can build your own idyllic miniature town. (Think Lego — only better and grown up). It’s an extensive undertaking and has involved an in-depth discovery and market analysis phase, conducted by strategist Chris Neary. Keep an eye out for it.

/ HOME ON THE RIDGE

Designing and building your own home can be the most exciting and challenging experience one can have. Byron Dowler, Principal of Coastlines has been doing just that and is in the thick of construction on his new home in Panorama Ridge. The home features extensive use of concrete and massive ceiling beams that span through the house in a butterfly fashion. The design elements were centered around capturing the views of Mud Bay and Boundary Bay and the large evergreen trees on the property. He hopes it will finally be ready this summer to move in.
