GLOBE is a leader in championing green initiatives and leveraging sustainable ventures into mutually rewarding opportunities for enterprise and the environment. From urban sustainability to climate change, they’re helping change the world by degrees.
Over the years, we’ve worked with our friends at the Globe Foundation on event branding and design for their signature trade fairs and conferences. This year we were invited to rebrand and develop a new look campaign for their biennial GLOBE™ Series, the world’s most prestigious conference on the business of the environment. Armed with only type, colour and graphics, we set off to formulate a bold creative direction independent of photography that would work well for future GLOBE Series.
Well, words became waves and letters became objects to create a colourful new west coast theme and event id. The new GLOBE 2010 look will be applied to exhibits, interactive, promotional collateral as well as print advertising.

Ottawa based Delphi Group helps hundreds of organizations, including 14 of Canada’s Fortune 100 companies, develop, integrate and realize the practical benefits of a sustainability and/or GHG management strategy. The central message: properly deployed environmentally responsible business practices are economically viable and enhance long-term performance.
Delphi’s comprehensive suite of services can be more than just a little bit complex to relay at a cocktail party, ... even if the invitees are engineers and geoscientists. So Coastlines was asked to engage their executive
management in a discovery process, which helped Delphi clearly outline and disseminate the key components of their unique selling proposition in an uncomplicated format that people could relate to and understand. In concert with the writing phase, we created a new suite of promotional materials showcasing their service offerings in a unique colour keyed format.

/ OHM CYCLES

OHM makes bikes that are unique. Their Urban (XU) and Sport brands (XS) are long-range, power on demand bicycles with an intelligent energy management system designed to increase your riding experience. We’d say that’s pretty unique, ... unique enough to be featured in Wired Magazine.
We started off with our client’s vision and some handy research, followed by a product shoot covering their new line of bikes at the studio of Jordan Junck Photography. We then merged the carefully retouched images to a new catalogue style brochure and an all new website design. The bikes can run on battery power for over 120km and we wanted to make sure that message got through with bold references and imagery highlighting the many innovations built into the bicycles. It’s been exciting to work with progressive clients like Globe, Delphi and OHM who truly want to make a difference with respect to our environmental footprint. A few years ago, this wasn’t on everybody’s radar, now it’s an integral part of our lives both at work and at home. It’s a great thing to see.
Keep an eye out for the new Coastlines website. The site will feature a unique news section and a portfolio breakdown that organizes our work into categories such as print media, interactive, exhibits, brand identity and more.
